The duty of the pressure regulating valve is to adjust and maintain the pressure in the common rail according to the load condition of the engine: when the common rail pressure is too high, the pressure regulating valve opens and a part of the fuel is returned to the oil tank by the return oil pipe; when the pressure of common rail is too low, the pressure regulating valve is closed and the high pressure end is closed to the back oil pipe.
